Biography

Life and Career

Zimmerman was born in the small city of Rock Hill, South Carolina and grew up in the neighboring town of Fort Mill. After graduating from Fort Mill High School he attended Clemson University, where he first developed an interest in acting. During this time he appeared in a number of commercials and television productions filming in the surrounding areas, and it was while on the set of One Tree Hill that he decided to pursue acting as a full-time career. After graduating from college with a degree in Business Management he studied acting for 2 years in Charlotte, North Carolina, before relocating to Los Angeles in 2010.

Since his move to Los Angeles Zimmerman has been seen in many notable roles ranging from his earlier commercial work where he portrayed Captain America alongside comic-book-legend Stan Lee in the Dr. Pepper "One of a Kind Avengers" commercial. This was followed by a 4 episode arc as Officer Twyman in the TV series Hollywood Heights, before he landed the role of Eddie in the long-running soap Days of Our Lives. In 2013 he appeared as Officer Burr in the television pilot for Beverly Hills Cop, alongside Eddie Murphy and Brandon T. Jackson, before filming guest starring roles in both the sitcom Love That Girl! and the Lifetime legal comedy-drama Drop Dead Diva. Zimmerman rounded out the year by making his feature film debut as Mark in the biographical sports drama Million Dollar Arm, opposite Jon Hamm and Lake Bell, which is scheduled for release May 16, 2014.

In 2014, he has been cast on Devious Maids.
