'I didn't know what kind of flowers you liked, so I got them all.'
|Peter Hudson, "Another One Wipes the Dust"|
Marisol is given lots of flowers. ("Another One Wipes the Dust")
On the morning following the brutal murder of famed Beverly Hills actress Peri Westmore, Marisol - not having yet heard the news about the star of her movie - descends the stairs of her house in a robe in order to answer her door, following the doorbell ringing. She opens it to find a delivery man holding a vase full of colorful flowers; he asks if he's at the right house, which he is, before wondering where she wants the flowers. She tells him to put them on the nearby table and, as he goes to carry out this task, she grabs the note written by the flowers' buyer: her new boyfriend Peter Hudson. Since he didn't know what kind of flowers she liked, he got her all kinds, and more delivery men with more flowers proceed to enter her house and fill her living room with all manner of flora. She calls Peter to thank him for his incredibly romantic gesture, only for a downer to be put on this optimistic start to her day when she learns of Peri's death, as well as the resultant death of her movie.
