Timmy is recovering. ("The Maid Who Knew Too Much")
When James Hamilton is on a date with Evelyn Powell, Timmy approaches him along with hius mother Laverne, being currently crutch-bound but expected to make a full recovery, with the doctor having said that soon he'll be running and playing like the other boys. Laverne wants to thank the reverend for everything he's done for her family, but he is only happy to help, saying that the real man she should thank is the doctor who performed the surgery. She then turns her attention to Evelyn, saying that she must be a very special woman to be with the reverend because, in her eyes, he is the best man in the world. Indeed, Evelyn is now starting to see that. ("The Maid Who Knew Too Much")
