Valerie Sue Love was born in Ft. Lewis, Washington to an African-American father and Korean mother and was raised on military bases for the first 14 years of her life. The Love family lived in many different places including Hawaii, Missouri, Korea, and Memphis, before settling in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended high school. She later studied at the University of Georgia and received a BA in Drama and a Minor in Child & Family Development. Love was an active member of the University of Georgia's Black Theatrical Ensemble (BTE) student drama troupe and landed the lead role in the University Theatre production of Marisol.
In 2012, Love was among the first class of filmmakers for Studio Eleven's, The 11Eleven11 Project, a unique and revolutionary program set to successfully navigate 11 writers, 11 directors, and 11 producers to create 11 short films each 11-minutes long under the direction of renowned master instructors in the film industry, all produced within a limited time frame. Love received credits as Talent, Production Assistant, Set Dresser, Prop Master, and On-Set Acting Coach from The 11Eleven11 Project, which premiered at The BronzeLens Film Festival on 11/11/12 in Atlanta, GA.
She has been featured on American Wives, House of Payne and Nice Guy, among others projects. In 2015, she has been cast on Devious Maids.
